RUBBER PROCESSING
CQI-30 Audit of Mixing, Molding and Cure Controls
Rubber processing requires close control of the variables that influence final properties. During the assessment, our auditors review how the organization controls compound batches, processing conditions and molding parameters.
Particular attention is given to consistency between the approved process and actual production. For molded parts, this can include cure time, mold temperature, pressure, machine settings, tooling condition and restart controls.
For internally mixed compounds, the audit also looks at the controls used to maintain batch consistency and prevent material or formulation errors. Where rubber is bonded to another substrate, the preparation process is reviewed as part of the CQI-30 scope.
